SYDNEY, Australia, 31st October 2024 – Hyphen Health has again been recognised for their
success at the prestigious Business NSW State Business Awards, being awarded “Excellence in
Innovation”. The event celebrates the pinnacle of business excellence across 11 regions in
New South Wales.
“It was an incredible honour to stand up on stage and accept this trophy for Hyphen Health”
James Sneddon, CEO and co-founder of Hyphen Health said. “It’s almost 10 years since we
started this journey and I’m so proud of what our team has achieved – their passion for the
cause is infectious” Sneddon continued.
Hyphen Health has pioneered the new way people access sexual health services in Australia.
The group encompasses three virtual health clinics – Stigma Health, PrEP Health, and Roidsafe,
delivering care to over 4,000 Australians a month and diagnosing 1 in 20 STI cases nationwide.
Sneddon couldn’t resist giving what is becoming known as his trademark speech, asking for a
show of hands in the room if they’ve had an STI test recently.
“1 in 2 sexually active Australians will contract a sexually transmitted infection at some point so
when I have a captive audience of 1000 people, I’m going to be asking the awkward
questions.” Sneddon said “My challenge to you all: over the next few days, tell someone they
need an STI test. Trust me, odds are they do!’” Sneddon explained.
Hyphen Health is a multi award winning digital health service, having been recognised in the
AFR Fast 100 List, Smart Company’s Smart50 List, Product Review Awards, Business Hunter
Awards, Adult Industry Choice Awards and now Business NSW Awards.
